INSPIRE AND LEAD:
Champion the well-being and safety of our team and production space by partnering with the Environmental Health & Safety Manager, striving for an incident-free environment.
Spearhead production operations to elevate quality, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness while reaching key performance goals.
Drive improvements in product excellence and customer satisfaction through innovative strategies focused on client needs.
Aim to exceed an exceptional order fulfillment rate of 98.5%, consistently delighting customers with outstanding service and top-tier products.
Ensure stringent adherence to current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP).
Evaluate team performance, engage in clear communication with staff, and propose plans that enhance work productivity.
Facilitate comprehensive training initiatives to ensure all personnel are equipped for success in their roles.
Lead projects that foster continuous improvement across plant functions—discover opportunities that heighten productivity while reducing expenses.
YOUR ROLE IN OPERATIONS:
Manage departmental effectiveness by overseeing tasks like receiving goods, inspecting shipments, preparing finished items according to company standards/customer requirements. Handle inventory challenges effectively by choosing suitable alternatives. Optimize inventory based on shelf life (FIFO), prevent subpar products from reaching clients, ensure meticulous packaging/handling practices minimize damage or wastage. Efficiently manage work-in-progress stock while sustaining cleanliness/sanitation within the department. Maintain detailed production logs/compliance records; coordinate equipment servicing with Maintenance Dept.; adhere strictly to safety protocols as per Cal/OSHA guidelines; develop KPIs/objectives/goals/strategies/measures (OGSMs) along with individual/team evaluations; support new employee orientations/evaluations.
YOU BRING TO THE TEAM:

Preferred qualifications include an Associate's or Bachelor's degree.
Exceptional skills in communication/interpersonal relations/problem-solving/organization are crucial for fostering collaborative achievements.
Familiarity with food safety/cGMPs is necessary; HACCP certification is beneficial.
Bilingual abilities in English/Spanish are preferred; strong proficiency in English both written/oral is essential. High competence required across Microsoft Office applications alongside experience utilizing computer databases/report creation/MRP or ERP Systems .Attention-to-detail coupled with sound decision-making capabilities vital .Self-starter who takes initiative well organized possessing excellent presentation/interpersonal skills able prioritize tasks within department efficiently .One-to-three years supervisory experience within food processing /packaging industries .Seafood industry knowledge preferred .Experience Lean Manufacturing /Six Sigma methodologies plus college degree highly desirable
PHYSICAL CONTRIBUTIONS:
Must be able lift/move items up 50 lbs regularly . Able stand long durations often exceeding eight-twelve hours shift . Work setting typically cold around thirty-five degrees Fahrenheit . Repetitive motions such as bending ,reaching twisting involved manual dexterity handling seafood products operating processing equipment necessary
